DOES SALESFORCE OWN WORKDAY

As the power of the Salesforce platform continues to grow, many have asked a seemingly simple question about Salesforce’s involvement in Workday: Does Salesforce own Workday? The short answer is no, Salesforce does not own Workday. However, the relationship between the two companies is more significant than many realize.

Salesforce and Workday have had a partnership for almost a decade, beginning in August of 2012 when Salesforce acquired a company called Rypple and incorporated its capabilities to produce the software-as-a-service platform known as Work.com. This platform allowed companies to manage employee performance in real-time. Since then, Salesforce and Workday have formed numerous strategic partnerships, especially around Salesforce Release Management, Salesforce Data Backup and Recovery, and Salesforce Security Solutions.

One way that Salesforce and Workday have worked together is through a solution built for Salesforce Release Management. This solution provides an automated process for quickly deploying patches, innovations, and new versions of Salesforce software. This process enables rapid deployment of solutions to customers without the hassles associated with manual release management techniques. Salesforce and Workday also collaborated on a solution for Salesforce Data Backup and Recovery, which helps companies protect customer data and guard against data loss or breach. This solution is designed to be resilient and reliable, providing business continuity for Salesforce clients.

Finally, Salesforce and Workday have partnered to provide an integrated suite of Salesforce Security Solutions. This suite of products provides companies with the ability to protect the authorization, authentication, and encryption of Salesforce data. This includes threat detection and prevention, user access rights, password management, and many more security capabilities.

While the Salesforce and Workday have had a long, comfortable relationship for years, their association is far from a marriage. Salesforce provides the enterprise solutions while Workday provides the human capital management capabilities. It is through this collaboration that Salesforce clients can safely, securely, and reliably use the Salesforce platform for their business needs.

Taken together, while Salesforce does not own Workday, the two have formed a powerful relationship which provides the capability for Salesforce clients to safely and securely use the platform with a variety of sophisticated solutions. This relationship also offers businesses the opportunity to access the latest innovations, patches, and updates to the Salesforce platform quickly and efficiently. As such, the partnership between Salesforce and Workday is a valuable asset to Salesforce clients, offering them the protection and solutions they need to succeed in a digitally-driven world.
